Blockchain for the Healthcare Supply Chain: A Systematic Literature Review

A supply chain (SC) is a network of interests, information, and materials involved in processes that produce value for customers. The implementation blockchain technology SC management healthcare has had results. This review aims to summarize how been used address challenges healthcare, specifically drugs, medical devices (DMDs), blood, organs, tissues (BOTs). systematic was conducted by following the PRISMA guidelines searching PubMed Proquest databases. English-language studies were included, while non-primary studies, as well surveys, excluded. After full-text assessment, 28 articles met criteria inclusion. Of these, 15 (54%) classified simulation 12 (43%) theoretical, only one real case study. Most (n = 23, 82%) included adoption smart contracts. findings this indicated significant but immature interest topic, with diverse ideas methodologies, without effective real-life applications.
